Uplift the sanctity of Black lives.

Amir Locke.

Recommit again and again to transforming systems of violence in yourself, family, and community.

There is often an influx of white people having feelings and asking questions about What To Do when something like this happens.

Let us be clear and name the “something like this”… Amir Locke was murdered in his sleep by the Minneapolis police officers who entered the home where he was sleeping. There are thousands of moments in history that have led to such moments, and those thousands of moments uphold the institutions that continue to kill Black people.

So what do you do as a white person in America?

This is the question many of our ancestors grappled with, that we are dealing with, and our descendants will continue answering as well.

This is a question of generations.

I am a Jewish person whose family assimilated into whiteness on Dakota lands in the 1980s. My particular exploration of these questions has to do with who I am and who my people are, and the constant acknowledgement of the fact that anti-Blackness is a part of every system, institution, family system and legacy in one way or another.

So I take multiple approaches to this deep, painful, and personal work: first, I am constantly in conversation with myself and with people in my communities about how to show up given who I am, and I an constantly learning and unlearning; second, I am always looking for and scoping HOW to impact the systems and institutions that I am accountable to and a part of to embody anti-racism in policy and practice.

If you need someone to be in conversation with, I am here for that. If you are not sure where to start, or what to do, or how to deal with feelings of guilt and shame, or how to respond to family and friends or coworkers Let’s Talk About It.

I am here to coach white folks on anti-racism, anti-Blackness, white supremacy culture, police brutality, systems change, European ancestral heritage, and other topics coming up for you around this work .

My approach to coaching here is to meet you where you are at, create an environment for you to explore and deepen your understanding, and to unapologetically move you towards accountability. If you are not ready to move towards accountability then I am not the coach for you.

***All proceeds from these coaching sessions will be redistributed to individuals and organizations working towards abolition, and liberation and healing of Black Communities.
