Logo Release: What’s with the Pomegranate?

Welcome to Shor Salkas Coaching & Consulting!

This is my logo! It’s cute right? But what is it? I’ve gotten onion and orange so far, lol.

It is a pomegranate! As I was sitting with who I am as a coach and a healer, I just drew this pomegranate and I knew I needed to just be present with this message.

I’m sure the Jewish folks in my life and community are both laughing and maybe doing an eye roll because these delish fruits are a fairly prominent symbol and obsession in Jewish communities.

My Jewish ancestors are giving me this gift and connection to our common ancestry and joy. In Judaism the pomegranate has symbolized love and fertility more broadly, and its many seeds associated with the 613 mitzvot (good deeds). It is also a food and a symbol that has been used by Ashkenazi Jews and Sephardic Jews across culture, food, and diaspora.

Now what does this have to do with me being a Coach?

Everything…

My coaching practice is like a pomegranate. Through joyous partnership, my clients and I will peel back the layers of outer rind to explore the many truths and possibilities that glisten within. Each of us holds an abundance of wisdom and the capacity to find it within ourselves. My job as Coach is to support my clients in peeling back the rind to discover what is already juicy and glistening within them. We are each full of delicious possibilities.

Big love,

Coach Shor
